How to End Your Discontent and Change the Status Quo?

Your reality is a reflection of you and all you carry within. It is a manifestation of a subconscious intention to experience yourself in all the myriad situations and conditions that make life so challenging. So as you look at your life and world, are you content? Is its status quo all you want it to be?

Perhaps the greatest catalyst for many awakening souls has to do with the state of our world. If you’ve lived in a cave without internet or TV, you’re probably oblivious to all of it. But if you’re like the rest of us, enmeshed in the 3D experience of trying to carve out a life for yourself, it can be quite a challenge.

Forget the politics, wars and calamities befalling us, both natural and man-made. Focus instead upon the things that directly affect your life — like trying to simply exist in a society in turmoil, where up is down and down is up as groups and individuals alike try to impress their beliefs and desires upon those who want something else.

As one who is awakening to the underlying spiritual nature of your existence, you’re beginning to sense that the life you’ve got is providing valuable experience for your soul and higher self. It’s causing you to live with one eye on the outer world where it unfolds, and another on the inner one where those experiences are created, gathered and processed.

In fact, you may find yourself turning away from the outer and dwelling ever-more in the inner. Yet, as you progress you could even be feeling an urge to give back or DO SOMETHING to effect the changes you want to see in your life or in the world around you.

This is a perfectly natural response, because you have chosen your polarity to meet duality, and it is leading you to want to serve others even as you serve yourself. Service-to-others is a defining characteristic of those who choose to move toward the light and exemplify peace, love and kindness in their outer affairs.

Of course, not all make such a choice. Some prefer the ways of service-to-self, marked by intense focus on the needs of self, as well as finding love through manipulation and control of others. Such individuals find meaning in darkness and separation, elevating themselves, their wants and needs above the people and the promised Golden Age of peace and prosperity.

You know them when you see them. Their faces are plastered all over the news, along with reports of their shenanigans and efforts to impose their wills upon all. Most of the powers-that-be are in this category.

The Path of Service to Others

Service-to-others, though, is not a panacea. It doesn’t make things all hunky dory. Instead, it sets us up for conflict with others, walking a fine line trying to balance serving our own needs with making a difference in the world.

As we awaken and move farther down this path, our forms of service begin to take shape, often rearranging our lives to undertake some mission of inspired contribution. Nevertheless, those efforts are often distorted by the inner conditions within us like inner conflicts, biases, beliefs and such that distort the light that’s flowing into us to fuel our growing awareness.

It is imperative that as you undertake your mission and meet the challenges it brings, that you walk your talk and bring to bear the very best that you have inside. Many of those challenges are catalysts meant to draw your attention to things in you that are contributing to the way things are. This is so you can change the ones you can and love those aspects of yourself that you can’t. And as you change, your outer world — at least the one that most affects you — begins to change, too.

While what plays out on earth matters (you’re here to grow and experience yourself and your capabilities within it), what matters most is how you grow in knowing yourself and dissolving the illusions that keep you separate from your source. Learning to do that takes time, and a lot of trial and error.

So as you continue to awaken and face the challenges of your life in the outer world, be sure to keep one eye out for the state of your inner one, and all that goes into making it the way that it is. Face your choices, and try to see things in a different way. Only then can your consciousness expand and empower you with the greater awareness that will be needed for 4th density consciousness that is just around the corner.

You don’t have to try to change. Your life will take care of that for you. Just meet the challenges as best you can. You’re not a victim; you’re intentionally creating a new you, and a new world that will better allow you to show it in the life you’re living.

Never, ever give up hope a better tomorrow is within reach. All it takes is you shifting into new perspectives so you can see it.

God bless you indeed.
