A Message to Awakening Servers Who’ve Hit the Wall

Many awakening servers are stymied in their service. Every effort to make it work fails them, and both they and their lives suffer as a result. What’s going on?

Here’s a recent Twitter thread where I discussed many of the issues. If you need help applying them to your life, text me through the app in the bottom right of your screen.

Then I went on:

Of course, one thing led to another and a thread followed. I’ll reproduce it below.

When you hit the wall, quit struggling. Stop for a moment and look at the situation, and look into yourself. What is its value? What is it allowing you to know about yourself? How is it asking you change in order to deal with it? What are you doing/not doing that affects it?

Life happens for a reason. It’s all about the experience. So what are you getting? How are you processing it? How is it impacting your life, thoughts, emotions or actions? What do you want? What don’t you want?

We all live in the gap between the lives we’ve got and the ones we want. Failure to manifest your mission or act on your inspirations keep you in that gap. If you’re not getting what you want or where you want to go, maybe you’re putting your attn and energy in the wrong place.

Service-to-others is said to be a hallmark of the spiritual path, yet servers’ lives too often fall apart and leave them wanting. Sacrificing the needs and desires of self for others cannot be sustained for long. Find a balance that serves you, too.

Giving without expectation of return is hard when your cup is empty and you feel depleted. Sometimes what must change is your own belief system and choices along the way. You need to live, too. Don’t be your own worst enemy.

Many disciplines teach renunciation of worldly desires and negating the self. Yet you were made the way you are in the life you live now. Don’t force yourself to go another way. Your life will bring you what you need to evolve and get the experiences you came for. Learn from it.

Bottom line? Life is your teacher. It will change you into what you need to be. If that is to serve, it will bring catalysts to inspire you and force you to be more so that you can, and teachers to light your way. Focus on the moment. In it you will find all you need.

I have offered a paradox for servers. If you’re struggling to serve, find a way. But when you can’t, maybe the obstacle is a catalyst to know yourself and become more in the life you have right now. Life is an art form, not paint-by-numbers. Know your own way. Go it with love.

You don’t have to keep beating your head against the wall. You don’t have to go it alone, either. I can help.

God bless you indeed.
