What Piece are You Adding to Build a Better World?

Question mark made of puzzle piecesThe gauntlet has been slapped across our collective faces and thrown to the ground. The question is, will we pick it up and fight the good fight? Or will we turn our backs and try to walk away?

This is a choice facing us all. The one we make -- and how -- will determine the future of our lives, as well as that of the world in which we live.

The many problems facing us are offering opportunities at every turn to get off our duffs and DO SOMETHING to make things better. Yet so many seem content to remain wrapped up in their own lives, leaving it to others to do something about.

If you're here, I suspect you are NOT one of them. Instead, you have at least heard, and perhaps are even answering, those inner urges to act.

The difficulties at hand, though, make that a tremendous challenge for the best of us. Energies are running strong, and bringing with them wave after wave of challenges to overcome.

The test for us all is to not allow those problems to waylay us and keep us focused so much on dealing with the difficulties that we lose track of what we're called to do or allow it to stop us.

Sure, obstacles will block your way. Strong currents will try to drag you down or sweep you off in some other direction. Somehow, though, you must find a way to overcome the obstacles and ride the currents until you can safely cross the hardships.

Yet all the while your eye must remain on the prize -- adding your piece to the great mosaic of the better world of which you dream.

Nothing that happen must deter you from your goal. Not even the great emotional swings that can bring frustration, depression, anger and more to knock you off course.

Yes, these are experiences your soul needs to get. But HOW you get them is just as important. How you meet the challenges. How you deal with your own inner obstacles and conditions. How you engage the energies and interests that are blowing through your life and world. How you sustain your mission and generate the means of your own support and that of your family. How you shift into new perspectives so you can expand your choices over where to go from here.

You can't ignore them. They'll keep coming back ever bigger and stronger until you deal with them. But you don't have to let them drag you down.

I know you can do it. You have a valuable contribution to make, no matter how big or small it seems.

Just remember. You're not the only one called to join in this effort. And you don't have to do it alone.

If you need help, we're just a phone call away.

God bless you indeed.
